Using STEEM promo videos to promote our offline events

If you’ve not been around for awhile now, I guess you may have missed a little competition created by surfermarly on creating a 60 second video promoting STEEM.

My personal favourites are these 2 videos which I would be using to promote our offline events.

This was done by @ashtv and I personally think its just brilliantly done simple and straight to the point.

Here is the other 2 videos which I would be using to share onto social media prior to the event.

These amazing videos really showed how amazing the community is in terms of creativity and I’m just blown away with the professionalism in these videos.

I would be incorporating these videos into my presentation as well as it pretty much explains STEEM in 60 seconds.

So do support our offline events we have a number of it coming and our next one would be on the 6th April 2019 in Penang Malaysia.

Our fundition campaign link is below. Hope you would be able to support it.

DAYBIT Exchange Made my day ! AI Trading

Ok … so here is the thing, a few days ago i posted about getting onto DAYBIT and start playing around with the “Intelligent Trade”. Why not right ? After all soon DAYBIT will also be trading the SMT tokens from STEEM communities so better start understanding its features.

Here was the post https://steemitup.club/steems-smt-trading-exchange/

In that post I was trying out buying USDT just as it dips. I was trading a little bit of EOS to USDT. It managed to find the top and bought just as it started to drop

It was a success ! It managed to buy USDT at about $4.0076 for me it was sweet as I got those EOS at about $2.5 per token. Clean profit of $1.5 per token sitting in USDT

Then I wanted to try the “intelligent trade” to find the bottom and buy a little bit up.

Another SUCCESSFUL trade ! However it was flawed slightly as the real bottom was actually $3.3 however it didn’t really matter as I knew it was going to go up “fingers crossed” . I accepted that it works and i had to make sure profits were obtained from buying this round of EOS.

Then I wanted to try another option which was in DAYBIT which was this. GREATER THEN xxx AND SELL at maximum of xxx .

I must say it was a slightly longer wait this time as price didn’t hit its target for 4 days … it almost hit then it pulled back .. and almost again then pulled back. Unfortunately there wasn’t a lot of trade volume on DAYBIT so even if coingecko showed other exchanges hitting the price , on DAYBIT it was still relatively not there yet.

But it happened while i was sleeping ! The trade sold all the EOS back to USDT !

So my here is my trade history. From my tests over the past 2 weeks on DAYBIT Exchange. Taken into fact that the EOS transferred here was bought at $2.5 .. DAYBIT helped me increase the volume of EOS tokens which I had without much effort except login in and waiting to see if the price had sold.

Oh by the way I also earned some DAY tokens from every single trade that happened.

My opinions about DAYBIT, its pretty cool however the trade volumes per day is not on the high side. Do try out DAYBIT exchange if you have the time as once they get more active you will surely see its volume go up. You can use this link to try it out.

http://bit.ly/2ScUlWx

I will still continue to to use the other exchanges, however DAYBIT is starting to grow on me. And hopefully they will list STEEM / SBD soon. Thanks to @project7 from @steemhunt to introduce DAYBIT exchange to us.

Let’s get STEEM in another exchange – bitmama.io

You guys know the drill ! Lets get STEEM into as many exchanges as possible. This is https://bitmama.io Bitmama is a crypto-fiat exchange which enables traders to trade Bitcoin, Ethereum and other digital assets in Africa.

Do support and comment STEEM at its twitter post.

With STEEM getting onto more exchanges, it increases the chance of people trading STEEM and strengthening the community. It gives really good branding and also get more people curious into joining our community.

So make sure you tweet and support this effort in getting more people onto the STEEM blockchain and also more people buying and selling steem.

Remember just a few months ago we did the same voting for NETCOINS ?

gonetcoins.com

It was a successful campaign and its now listed on NETCOINs site

So lets do the same for this and it only takes a tweet. Cheers and have a great day.

Sharing STEEM at Blocklime’s Blockchain Biz Track Bootcamp

Had the pleasure of attending Blocklime’s Blockchain Bootcamp today and its always great to attend anything organized by Blocklime Technologies as I always get to learn new things.

Harpreet the CEO of Blocklime Technologies is very well known in the blockchain scene in South East Asia and has been a speaker for many events globally.

I was given the opportunity to share about the STEEM blockchain to several people as they were really interested in STEEM. So I gave them the 20 mins talk and showcase of all the projects where are currently available.

Also had to chance to briefly chat with both Matthew ( left ) from Etherscan and also TM ( mid ) from Coingecko which were next on stage with other panelist.

Its events like these which helps educate the general public about blockchain. I’m glad to be able to meet like minded individuals where we consistently support each other when one of us organize these events.

I do hope that more initiatives like these happens everywhere to educate the general public with the right information and not some ponzi / scam which unfortunately has tarnished the views of “Blockchain” generally.

STEEM’s SMT Trading Exchange

Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard of initiatives like @steemengine which enables anyone on STEEM to create their own tokens. I think its a great idea and I knew that there were some discussion on using side-chains to create SMT Simple tokens for projects on STEEM.

People like @actifit , @steemhunt and even @magic-dice and who knows perhaps @drugwars will and some already have benefit from having their own token within the STEEM ecosystem.

Recently @steemhunt had signed a MOU ( memorandum of understanding ) stating a collaborative effort to get SMT tokens tradable on DAYBIT exchange

http://bit.ly/2ScUlWx

In all honesty, I only used a number of exchanges and this was the first time hearing about DAYBIT so I decided to dig in more. Even though there is no STEEM / SBD wallet yet , I did try depositing a lil bit of crypto’s in and start to explore this exchange.

At a glance, it looks just like ANY other exchange. And this is the top 5 exchange in Korea ? I did the norm signup and mobile registration. You had to do it to enable the deposits and 2FA.

The uniqueness about this exchange is that this exchange is just uniquely fast ! After reading more about it, its actually developed using a programming language called “Erlang” which is used for high-capacity data … example WhatsApp, LINE and even games like League of Legends.

What really caught my attention was its built in “trade intelligence”. So If you wanted to catch a trade at the top ( almost top ) and then sell .. you can actually set it to do so.

In the screen above I have set my trade to SELL my EOS to USDT after figuring out the TOP and it drops 5%. Now upon writing this , I just placed my order and waiting for it to execute. Hopefully I can report good news in my next article.

So literally you can also set the BUY signal at the bottom. I’ve not tried it out yet, however excited to see how it goes.

So before DAYBIT enables SMT tokens on the exchange, why not you give it a try so that onces SMT is on board you know how to auto trade. To signup, click the link below

https://daybit.page.link/SaF3gBzNda55NaQS7

A little bonus, if do trade on this exchange, you are also able to earn DAY token. Currently trading at $0.03 per token.

So checkout DAYBIT today …. and you must try the auto trade. Do let me know your experience on this exchange if you have used it before.

Changes in Penang STEEM Bootcamp Schedule

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, we have to move our schedule of our Penang Bootcamp Sharing to either 1st week or 2nd week of March. This is due to space availability and also to coincide with TheBlockSignal ‘s event plans who is our partners and organizers there

Even though the dates has moved, we are still very positive about the event there and are excited about trying to get a larger crowd.

Other updates in Malaysia

We are now finalizing more workshops and planning in Kota Kinabalu to grow more content creators in the community in Borneo. We are moving our plans forward in Borneo to start running workshops to drive the growth of STEEM adoption here and also to work out a sustainability model for new users.

When will this happen ?

Our workshops will begin by May 2019 and we are now currently planning for space and also facilities. It surely is going to be a really exciting year for Steem in Malaysia !

Won’t be able to reveal much as a lot of planning is still in the works however rest assure that it will happen.

A impromptu meetup with steemians

It was a very last minute decision to hop on a flight and head back to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah as there was something which I had to do

And as always I took the opportunity to meetup with all steemians who was around town and had the time. Being all part of STEEMXP community and also TEAMMALAYSIA , we had a breif discussion as to the current markets and also direction of growing STEEM adoption in Malaysia.

its the Chinese New Year celebrations here too

Looking at 2019, it is going to be a lot of speculations and fud in the crypto space. I do have confidence in the blockchain technology and its surely going to strive into something greater then what it is known for today.

We will however always push for growth in this region with a few more events being line up throughout the year, we have already begun planning workshops and more talks around the STEEM ecosystem. With more and more amazing DAPPS being developed by independent developers, STEEM will surely be one of the strongest blockchain & community around.

Don’t forget our next event is just 2 weeks away in Penang and once everyone is back to work after the Chinese New Year holidays we can push and plan for more confirmed events.

Would love for you to support our campaign on fundition for running all these offline events and promoting adoption of STEEM

Have a brilliant Weekend !
