Have you Sent STEEM to the wrong account ?

Well … I’m sitting here at the cafe once more having my coffee and the waiter brings the bill over to me. I paid him with my “fiat” and then I remember the time when I paid someone in Steem for a meal. This was @danielwong’s burger place called Big Hug Burger.

During the times when STEEM was above 1 USD a typical post payout would help a lot in an individual’s financial … hey it does pays the bill.

Anyway …. since 2 years ago there was no actual Steem wallet or mobile app to transfer Steem … it has to all be done manually. So after having burgers at Big Hug Burgers and wanted to pay in STEEM , I had to manually transfer the Steem over.

Instead of Transfering to the account of @danielwong … i accidently sent it to the wrong account named @daniel .

OF course, it had to be an inactive account which is just sitting down there and there is no way get that amount of STEEM back. Even after 2 years since this happen … my 4 STEEM which I sent is still there untouched.

So I googled today those who has actually sent STEEM to the wrong person … as I’m 100% certain that I’m not the only one who has mistakenly done so.

So after googling and searching .. I found this post about an account https://steemitwallet.com/@ashleigh/transfers which had transfered about $250k worth ( value at that time ) of STEEM to the wrong account called @minorityreport

Well … 137k worth of Steem is not as huge of a value now, however its still significant enough to support authors. Here was the post that lead me to this transfer. I think the owners of the account were able to connect and resolve the matter after weeks of powering down.

So what about you ? Have you sent Steem to the wrong account and have you ever gotten it back ?

Cheers and have a great day !

DAYBIT is listing STEEM & SBD !

This is absolutely fabulous news !!!! Here was the actual announcement.

https://support.daybit.com/en/support/solutions/articles/36000129822–announcement-steem-sbd-listing-and-wallet-transactions

So why am I super excited about this ? Well not too long ago i tested out their intelligent trade system and it really simplified my trades as I don’t really need to monitor them like crazy the system does that for you.

Here was the post that I made and how much my test account made.

That was tested with only EOS / USDT pairing. Now with DAYBIT able to accept both STEEM and SBD plus strategies to get the other SMTs there ? This is going to be just exciting !!!!

Imagine how much trades can be done semi-automatically. Why I said semi-auto is because some intervention is still required !

But I’m really looking forward to it.

[Listing Schedule]

  1. STEEM & SBD Wallet Open: 2019.03.28 14:00:00 (UTC +9)
  2. STEEM & SBD Listing: 2019.03.29 14:00:00 (UTC +9)

If you are not already on DAYBIT , here is my referral ID which I do hope you will use

Sharing the STEEM blockchain to Crypto enthusiasts

Now what happens when you get a STEEM fanatic / addict / evangelist going to a crypto meetup. I will surely talk about STEEM of course !

Had the pleasure of going to a impromptu meetup with some of the community leads in the crypto scene here in Malaysia. Its always great chilling with this bunch as you get to hear updates from various projects around the crypto scene.

btfmdn

Sandra from ZCoin and Marcus from Invech had so much stuff going on at their end that its exciting to chat with them as you know even though its a bearish markets, these projects is still around and moving strong.

Manage to meet up with Salamantex CEO and CTA as well and discuss opportunities in integrating STEEM into their payment gateway. They would be pushing for marketing in Malaysia and South East Asia real soon. It would be great to be able to get merchants on the Salamantex to be able to use STEEM as one of the payment. I’m sure its a solution which people are looking forward to

DRUGWARS ! When it starts being a game once more

When DRUGWARs was launched and it runs off the STEEM blockchain, there was so much hype that everyone wanted to try it out and play it.

Indeed it was fun and addictive and yes I really enjoyed it , however it started becoming annoying seeing that there were so many people botting and abusing the game to the point that finding battles became a chore.

This was all because the economics of this game allowed people to earn STEEM on a daily basis and bots will always find its way into the game.

Related image

I remember the earlier days in World Of Warcraft where almost everyone was botting …. this was because people can sell gold for some good ole $$$

Related image

Even in games like Clash Of Clans people was using attack bots to farm for gold just to get the upper edge on the game.

So whatever that DRUGWARs is facing is nothing new, however how these problems are resolved will either make or break the game and keep the community interested in playing it.

Today DRUGWARs announced that they would be rolling out new updates which highlights were

  1. There would no longer be STEEM as daily heist payouts
  2. Introduction of FUTURE tokens to be paid instead of STEEM – without much information on FUTURE tokens.

I think its a bold move and one that is required. People who plays DRUGWARS purely for “investment” purposes is not wrong however it does really takes the fun out of the entire experience. Its suppose to be a GAME !!

So I do hope that DRUGWARS will be able to enhance the gameplay and make it fun for all types of players. I’m looking forward in more information of this FUTURE tokens and its functions.

Here is the link to the announcement beware it may take time to load as there are tons of comments.

Paycent now accepts STEEM

Have you guys heard ? Paycent a CRYPTO-FIAT card … just a bit about Paycent ( https://paycent.com/ )

Paycent is a financial platform powered by Texcent, a Singapore-based company dedicated to deliver fully integrated mobile applications. Texcent has received a remittance license from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and is a proud member of Singapore Fintech Association (SFA). The company is headquartered in Singapore and has offices in the Philippines and the U.A.E.

With them now accepting STEEM as one of the currency we would now have access to a larger option of liquidation especially in South East Asia. I guess all the events and the shout-outs in this part of the world has started to gain traction.

Do drop by and at least give a quick like to let them know that the community in STEEM supports this move.

Looking forward in seeing more payment gateways / exchange and other companies take on STEEM as one of their accepted cryptos as this is great publicity and helps in the growth of the community.
