Was invited to a talk organized by Productivity Nexus giving insights about our Malaysia National Productivity Blueprints and also about the current economic situations in China.
Up on stage was Professor Yijang from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business – China who came and spoke about the economic situations in China and the challenges that’s currently being faced.
A bit about Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business ( CKGSB ) , its one of the prestige universities in China where its Alluminis suchs as Jack Ma and about 3000 CEOs from various Chinese companies collectively holds revenues of about 13.7% of China’s GDP.
One of the highlights was also our Malaysia National Productivity Blueprint which was the focus of MPC ( Malaysia Productivity Council ) to introduce new methods in increasing the productivity in mostly the F&B and Retail sectors.
It was really an interesting talk and was surprise that there were Govt initiatives to improve overall productivity levels in retail and f&b sectors.
There are 4 sets of KPIs in these areas which NPC are trying to achieve by engaging with local businesses and encourage growth in these areas.
Overall it was a interesting talk and met a lot of new faces as this was my 1st event this year which is NON tech / crypto related. LoLz.
So today’s hot topic in Malaysia in the blockchain space is not about how the market is doing however it more towards the announcement by the Finance Minister in regards to regulatory matters about funds thru ICOs or “digital currencies”
With this surprise announcement, literally it also places all Crypto exchanges in Malaysia in a chaotic state as there are no clear guidelines set for licensing these exchanges.
The announcement seemed to had come out without proper planning. the announcement was issued out by Ministry of Finance however the executioner would be Securities Commissions and there is no clarity in regulating it.
So in today’s event at Unblock Kuala Lumpur held in KL… It was obvious that the main topic of the day was around ICOs, STOs and how the announcement is effecting the Blockchain scene in Malaysia
I’m sure that the panelist was already expecting these questions however almost all answers would be just speculations.
In the next couple of months, I’m sure there would be more regulatory announcements would be made and guidelines will appear. Let’s hope that it’s for the better and encourage economical growth in Malaysia
We are on our way to Penang from Kuala Lumpur. This is for the STEEM Sharing Session Bootcamp which will be held at The SETTLEMENTS Penang.
We’ve got some goodies to distribute around ! Hope its enough for the participants who comes . One of the topics we would be talking about is how we can use projects such as FUNDITION to raise funds thru STEEM blockchain to fund charitable work or even projects which are able to make an impact.
We would also be discussing about other APPs which can be used to post to the STEEM blockchain and STEEMIT.COM is not the only application.
So do join us if you are around Penang Tomorrow night. The signup forms is in the link below. Hope to see you all there !
Just 2 more days to go before our event in Penang.
Here are details of the event.
Who Should Attend ?
If you want to try explain blogging or steem to your friends , family or even colleagues. Or you know a great blogger or content creator which you want them to share their content on steem. Do give them our invite link
thanks to @penguinpablo for his daily stats ( source link )
What the graphs shows that we have a very vibrant community which consistently use the STEEM blockchain daily. This is mainly due to the fact that STEEM has become a part of a lot of people’s daily activity.
This is purely because there are so many apps which we can use to post to the Steem Blockchain. dTube, dSound, Fundition, Partiko or many others. These apps are commonly used as STEEM is the only blockchain that I’m aware of that has a very diverse community posting in many different ways.
Every single active community is also running their own activity among its members or collaborative efforts to have more users join this vibrant communities.
Daily Amount of Steem Powered UP & DOWN
As you can see over the past 1 week we also have seen many users powering up as price of STEEM is low now and steemians are taking advantage of this to power up more. ( source )
So this is why we are still planning for offline activities in the form of Steem Sharing Bootcamp Penang to introduce new users to STEEM and all the apps which they can use. We also would love to get to know more steemians face to face , this will enable us to answer any questions about STEEM directly. We do understand that this is a slow process however, running offline events are still great to have that very first engagement to help steemians to start their blogging journey.
I’ve already claimed 10 accounts to provide those who does not have an account who came for our offline events to get them started off as soon as possible. I guess many witnesses / projects such as @steemonboarding , @oracle-d and @steemhunt are already doing so.
So do invite your friends who would be in Penang, Malaysia which you have a hard time explaining what steem is or would love to introduce what this blockchain all about to register and come for our little sharing session.
