REVIEWHUNT – Results of Creating A Quest

Over the past few days, I’ve been messing around with Reviewhunt as they have just “relaunched” the platform with new UI designs and simplifying it.

Within 24 hours I managed to earn about $7 in total value. Which I had transferred to my ETH wallet without any problems at all. You can sell your HUNT tokens on Daybit exchange. HUNT/BTC

I did a quick video awhile back on how to transfer your HUNT tokens to DAYBIT. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sMc2-BzbqkY

What are QUESTS on ReviewHunt ?

Quests are actionable items that you want participants to do. For example, like a social channel ( FB, Twitter, YouTube … etc ). There are countless things you could request a participant to do, for example, Play a game or do an App Store Review of a product.

In my trial, what I did was I created a quest to Subscribe to my YouTube channel and view and like one of my videos. Here is a snapshot of my Quest Brief

The budget’s which I set was only $12 for the entire campaign and anyone who participated would have gotten $0.20 per approved submission.

I paid the about 3,375 HUNT tokens to run the campaign which was about$12 at the time of payment. ( now its a bit cheaper since the price did go up over the past 24 hours )

The Results of Creating a REVIEWHUNT Quest

Ok … here were the results of doing that simple campaign. Literally my budgets ran out within 12 hours of launching the Quest as I could only fit in 60 participants with my budgets.

As the Maker of the Quest, you would require to moderate and approve submissions. And with only 60 participants allowed, it didn’t take much time and it was really simple to do.

In actual fact, I went to sleep and woke up the next morning seeing my YouTube notification just buzzing with messages.

I was getting more views and subscriptions from those who participated in the Quest. But this was expected as its almost like buying ADS from Google Adwords.

The main difference was that I was also getting comments and more engagement than the norm. You would also see that it would have started to show in searches based on the keywords you’ve placed in your video.

I’m pretty much a newb in YouTube videos and I’m not a SEO expert, so apart from using Google Adwords for me, these numbers are big for me.

Is it worthwhile using ReviewHunt to boost your social channel?

The main reason I did this Quest and targeted my YouTube channel was basically to try out how effective it is running a quest and I just wanted to get above 100 subscribers for my YouTube so that I was able to claim my name.

https://youtube.com/bitrocker2020

But the question would be, is it really worthwhile? While there are soo many options out there to buy YouTube views and to buy engagement. Reviewhunt is able to get you better quality results in terms of engagement from this test.

Paying $0.20 for a like and comment is considered a very high price for a Social Channel boost however if you are just getting started in your brand new channel, this may be a great solution for you.

Here are some challenges which I found while using Reviewhunt these participants for my quests.

1 – SPAM – With a low entry point of getting started on ReviewHunt, I found that there were multiple spam accounts which had joined the quest and they did do what was required including submitting in a screenshot. However, when you did look thru these accounts, you see that it was created only to gamify Reviewhunt and was there only to grab any hunts available for the $$$

**suggestions to team : create a Rating system for Makers to be able to rate the quality of the submission & also mark spam accounts.

2 – Quest Quality – Just as a participant ( hunters ) are able to signup and spam quest to gamify the platform, Makers are also able to do so by creating quests to promote scams/money games and such

** suggestions to team : create a rating system for Hunters to be able to rate or report a low Quality Quest ( promoting scams / money game )

3 – HUNT Token Liquidity – there is just not enough exchanges in which you are able to trade HUNT tokens, therefore a hunter may find it hard to understand how to liquidate their HUNT tokens. Also for Makers who want to buy HUNT Token to avoid the 20% conversion fee costs may find it harder to buy these Tokens.

**suggestion to team : Since most exchanges charge a fee to list HUNT token, why not create liquidity in DEX such as https://uniswap.exchange where anyone is able to add to the liquidity pool especially those who want to earn more from their HUNT tokens and this would surely push the trade volume up.

Summary

So, in conclusion, ReviewHunt is indeed a brilliant platform to use and to incentify users with getting rewards for just doing simple tasks. However like any other platform, we would surely see the true potential of ReviewHunt if there is a large volume of both Hunters and Makers which is consistently using the platform.

Its still considered early stages for ReviewHunt, however I’m confident that the team would work its magic and make it a really successful project.

Cheers and these are just my personal opinions of ReviewHunt. If you have not participated or login to ReviewHunt , do give it a try and let me know your views of it. Here is my referral link if you care to use it.

My very first Basic Attention Token (BAT) Publishers Payment

After many months of trying and testing and watching youtube videos and researching how its done, I’ve finally managed to receive my very first BAT publishers payment.

Its not huge, nor its something you could quit your day job (if you have one), however its just an achievement for me and it made my day.

A TOTAL OF 14.25 BAT !!!!!

If you quickly take a look at the current market price of BAT and see how much its worth .. well thats a total of $3.15. That’s mostly from my WordPress website and also my YouTube channel which I’ve added in my publisher’s account.

And on top of that, since I’ve set BRAVE browser as my default browser like a month ago. I’m also receiving BAT tokens just by browsing sites and also supporting other sites.

I’m still learning the ropes as to using BAT and start to see the value it can bring to websites who are using BAT pluggins.

So ! If you are already on WordPress and using Steempress , why not just install in the plugin and connect your Brave account. Share with me your link … I’ll go visit it and hey lets all earn a little bit more BAT tokens.

You could use this link if you’ve not already have a Brave account and I would get a little bit more BAT tokens.

https://brave.com/ste089

For those of you who are more seasoned in BAT, do share your experience and TIPs as I would love to learn more about this token. Like I said, I’m a complete nub at this and still learning it bit by bit.

BRAVE BROWSER FACTS

After using it as my default browser for a month plus already, here are a few things which you may want to know transitioning from Chrome.

  • You can install and use your web extention wallets such as MetaMask and Keychain . Even though you have a built in crypto wallet, I still choose to use MetaMask as I’m more comfortable with using it and sometimes I do switch over to Chrome and want the seamless ability to do so.
  • The browser does seems faster and some websites which loads slowly on Chrome seems to be way faster on Brave.
  • Brave Browsers blocks all these ads trackers and all sorts of other trackers which Google wants to know about your activities. So personally I do feel way much safer.

And most importantly of all, you are able to support authors with the BAT you earn from surfing to brave verified sites and watching ads ( if you allow it ) All of these are done automatically however you can set who you would like to support more.

So, do try out Brave Browser and if you are having a website of your own, just enable the Brave publisher’s plugin and start receiving some BAT tokens.

Cheers guys and have a brilliant day. Use my referral link if you don’t mind me receiving some extra BAT tokens =D =D

By the way .. STEEMIT.COM is also a Verified Brave Publisher site

Bitcoin was named as the best investment of the decade

As I was going through the news today I came across multiple articles that caught my eye. CNN New York had reported that a report issued out by the Bank of America Securities had mentioned that BITCOIN (BTC) was the best investment of the decade.

If you thought about it, if you had invested about $1 in bitcoins at the start of the decade of 2010 and did absolutely nothing … you would literally have about $90,000 worth of BTC at your disposal.

https://edition.cnn.com/2019/12/17/investing/best-worst-investments-decade-bitcoin/index.html

If you looked at other commodities such as gold and silver, it would not have come even close to any of the percentage gains compared to crypto.

I remember buying my ETH at $13 and already considered it expensive, or DASH at $7 without knowing how high it would have gone by the end of 2017. We do wish that we could turn back the clock and bought more BTC, however, this would not be possible unless someone creates a time machine.

So what’s in store for us for this new decade? The 90s was literally the Dot Com era, moving towards 2k where people was focused on web 2.0 and the rise of mobile apps. 2010 onwards was the rise of digital currencies togather with a lot of other great innovations towards Internet of Things.

I think that 2020s would focus a lot on Digital Currencies in terms of stabilization and acceptance. It would also a focus on Machine Learning and also Virtual Reality where perhaps by the end of this decade VR has become so widely used that large virtual cities would actually coexist and the opportunities inside these virtual cities would be a thing by 2030 !

That does sound more like Ready Player One doesn’t it ? Those who were born in the 70s – 80s would have gone thru such rapid changes in technology and we were fortunate to appreciate what it has become today.

I was talking to my kids as to how it was back in the day where we didn’t have handphones. For them .. they just can’t imagine a unconnected world. I wonder how would their world or their kid’s world look like when they grow.

Its a start of a brand new week ! Hope you are having a brilliant one ahead. Cheers
